Preparing for Your Reading

Before the reading, please prepare a list of the questions you want answered during your reading.  Sessions can be intense and emotional. Without a prepared list, people often forget to ask important questions they wanted to ask about their personal life.  You Can Ask Any Question. All readings are confidential and non-judgmental.

You may ask to contact someone dead. Before the reading please invite the deceased person(s) you wish to contact to attend the reading.

Spirits keep their personality in death. They talk and act like they did when they were alive. If they were funny, they will joke around. If they liked to cuss, they will cuss. If they were loud, they will be loud. You can identify spirits when they communicate facts about their personality.

Some people are good people and some people are not so good. Don’t expect someone to suddenly become perfect just because they have crossed over. It takes a long time to become enlightened. Sometimes it takes many lives.

Making contact with the living is hard work for spirits. Some spirits come in like a faint whisper as they fade in and out struggling to keep contact. Other spirits come in clear, strong, and aggressive.

Often, two spirits will come in at the same time and speak at the same time. Their individual information will overlap.

Give the medium time to work with those who are trying to come through. Sometimes a dead person comes in right away and sometimes they need a little coaxing and will come in at the end of the reading. Be patient.

Sometimes spirits talk for only a short time. Other spirits will talk for the full reading. Be sure to prepare a list of questions you have about your personal life in case your spirit doesn’t want to talk for the full hour.

IMPORTANT:  The spirit controls the reading. Not you. Not the medium. Spirits say what  they came to say. You cannot control the reading, or satisfy your skepticism, by insisting a spirit tell you a specific thing (like what was your pet name for your little sister or who did you take to the prom.)

It doesn’t matter how much you think you know about the afterlife or how you think a reading should be done. Leave your expectations behind. No two readings are exactly the same.  You can’t judge the reading you receive by a reading you saw on TV, or a book you have read.  I’ve been a professional medium for 25 years and I never know what spirit will say or do. Every spirit is an individual and they have their own agenda and know what they want to say and how they want to appear.

Spirits often show up as they were at different ages in their life. They don’t always appear as they were when they died. Spirits like to talk about different chapters in their life. The details they provide about different ages is another way they identify themselves to you.

Spirits give the medium details about themselves such as their appearance, personality, hobbies, how they died, shared memories, their name. Sometimes their descriptions are general facts about themselves  and sometimes spirit will blow the lid off with extremely profound and personal facts. You just have to let spirit run the show because there is no way of predicting what they may say.

Don’t be surprised if spirit tells you information you do not know about. You probably do not know everything about that person and all their deepest secrets. I can’t tell you how many people have been surprised by information they received during a reading.

So, come to the reading with an open mind. Relax and allow information from spirit to flow. Leave your personal expectations behind. 

No two readings are alike. All mediums are not alike and we do not all work exactly the same way. Don’t expect a reading with me to be just like a reading you may have had with another medium in the past. Try different mediums. You may “click” with one medium better than another one.

Communicating with a dead person who spoke another language  is no problem for a Medium who does not speak the same language. Mediums communicate with dead people through a form of mental telepathy so there is no language barrier. Pets often make contact and talk to mediums through mental telepathy too. Don’t be surprised if a pet comes through. It’s common.

Although it doesn’t happen often, the specific person you wish to hear from may not make contact. The choice to communicate, or not, belongs to the person who has passed. A medium cannot force a dead person to communicate. It doesn’t mean they don’t love you if they don’t make contact.  You may hear from them later. Try another reading. Try another medium.

We are never 100% in any reading we do. Not even the best and most famous of us is 100% correct when we read.  We are human. Sometimes we misinterpret the information we are receiving. 

The very best Mediums are correct 75-90 percent of the time. These are very high percentages of accuracy.  But always use your own common sense and intuition to decide if the information you are receiving is accurate.
